However, when it comes to Blaine Gabbert a poor performance is never good.<\/p>\n<p>Gabbert was acquired by the San Francisco 49ers in a trade earlier this year. Listed as the No. 2 quarterback on the 49ers depth chart the team guaranteed his $2 million salary for the 2014 season.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday night he was 3-of-11 for 20 yards and an interception against the Baltimore Ravens. <\/p>\n<p>Only 24, Gabbert could be on his last go around in the NFL. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I thought a couple balls slipped out of his hand,&#8221; coach Jim Harbaugh said after the game. &#8220;A throw he&#8217;d like to have back on the interception. He did a good job running the team. He did a good job getting us in and out the huddle and getting us in the right play.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Josh Johnson was used later to relieve Gabbert but he failed to produce any points for the offense as well. <\/p>\n<p>This is just another reminder that the 49ers offense all depends on the arm and legs of starter Colin Kaepernick.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How much one can get from preseason openers is up for debate.
