The Minnesota Vikings have hired Mike Zimmer as their new head coach, according to ESPN.com
Zimmer, spent the past five seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals. Â Zimmer, who was the only candidate to receive a second interview stayed overnight after the interview was finished on Tuesday, according to the source.
Zimmer will keep Minnesota’s 4-3 defense in place and reportedly has interest in bringing in Norv Turner to run the offense.
