When Texas A&M left for the SEC so too did it’s annual Thanksgiving Day rivalry game against the Texas Longhorns.<\/p>\n

Have no fears though as new Texas athletic director Steve Patterson is working on renewing it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re working on it,\u201d Patterson said smiling during a recent question and answer session with students, via\u00a0Burnt Orange Nation<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s under a lot of water. We had it when I was here.\u201d<\/p>\n

The game will not be in its usual spot on the calendar with A&M’s agreement to play LSU that day. And obviously wanting a game and getting a game are completely different. There figures to be no shortage of obstacles in getting this one done.<\/p>\n
