Joey Logano won the pole for Sunday\u2019s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway.<\/p>\n

Joining Logano on the front row of Sunday\u2019s running of the Pure Michigan 400 will be Kurt Busch. Logano set a new track record, as has been the case for almost all of the races with the new Gen 6 car.<\/p>\n

Greg Biffle who has won the last two races at MIS will start the race 16th. Failing to qualify for the race was Scott Riggs.<\/p>\n

Michigan International Speedway is a 2-mile oval located in Brooklyn, MI. NASCAR has been visiting the track since 1969.<\/p>\n

On Sunday August 18 the Sprint Cup drivers will run 200 laps equaling the 400 miles around the track. Coverage of the race will air on ESPN beginning at 1:00 pm EST with the green flag dropping at 1:16 pm EST.<\/p>\n
