Nur Ali will become the first Pakistani driver to compete in a NASCAR this weekend when he competes in Saturday’s Nationwide Series race at Kansas Speedway. While Ali has run a few races at the ARCA level and has been in races on multiple continents the transition to NASCAR creates quite a learning curve for the 38-year-old.<\/p>\n

In Friday’s Nationwide practice Ali was involved in an incident with the No. 40 car of Erik Darnell.<\/p>\n

I can gather a few things from the interview.<\/p>\n

1. Ali wanted to get off the track<\/p>\n

2. He was waving.<\/p>\n

3. Ali does not believe the incident is his fault.<\/p>\n

4. It is Ali’s belief that Darnell has more experience then him and\u00a0 therefore it is his responsibility to understand what the newcomer was planning to do.<\/p>\n

5. Dr. Jerry Punch probably would likely have preferred to be interviewing Kurt Busch.<\/p>\n
