Kevin Harvick confirmed to media members that he had signed an extension with Stewart Haas Racing.<\/p>\n

The deal for Harvick adds two years to his contract that was slated to end after the 2021 season.<\/p>\n

Harvick, 44, is the 2014 Cup Series champion and a 49 time winner at thr top series in NASCAR.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m intrigued by that and for me, that\u2019ll keep me in the car a few more years as we go through 2023 and see where we\u2019re at,\u201d Harvick said. \u201cReally, that timing works well for me from a media standpoint, just because of the fact that you have a TV contract that\u2019s coming up, you\u2019ll know who the players are and I think at that particular point, you\u2019ll have a fair amount of experience in the new car. You\u2019ll hopefully have been through the engine change, the vehicle change. So there were a number of things that go along with that. I really like racing with the group of guys in the organization where I\u2019m at and I worked my whole career and feel like I got here with a group of guys and people that I want to have had success with.
