\"\"Kenny Wallace is set to drive the #24 car for SR2 Motorsports this coming Saturday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The announcement came a few hours after he finished fourth at Chicagoland in the #09 for RAB Racing.<\/p>\n

Saturday will be the first ever running at Indianapolis for the NASCAR Nationwide Series.<\/p>\n

“I drive for RAB Racing, about 11 races this year,” Wallace said. “NASCAR, everybody got involved — I have the most starts in the history of the series and they thought it was a crime that I wasn’t going to be in the race. “Luckily, Family Farmers, American Ethanol and the National Corn Growers Association, they came up with quite a bit of money four days ago … and I’m going to drive the #24 Nationwide car. We just did the deal right before qualifying (today). “My team is going to be behind me, it’s going to be a Toyota with a Triad motor, but the 24 team — Benny Gordon usually drives the car — we put the deal together, Farmers are going to have their name on it, they said it was a crime that I had the most starts in the history (of the Nationwide Series) and for me not to be in the first-ever Nationwide race at Indy.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Wallace also announced following the race that he would drive the #22 Nationwide car of Penske Racing for at least one race this season.<\/p>\n

While Wallace was credited with a fourth place run for the STP 300 his car was found to be too light during post race inspection. A penalty is expected to be announced on Thursday.<\/p>\n
