Garrett Smithley, who has driven the No. 0 Chevrolet Camaro SS for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller (JDM) since 2016, will return for another full time season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS). Smithley, who hails from Peachtree City, Georgia, comes off a season that included highlights of one top five, two top ten, and thirteen top twenty finishes.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m so excited to be back with JD Motorsports with Gary Keller. I\u2019ve been ready for this season since the checkered flag at Homestead last year. I\u2019ve been working hard this offseason to make my 4th year with JDM the best ever, I think it will be. I\u2019m so blessed to be giving the opportunity to race here by Johnny and all my sponsors. Daytona will be my 100th Xfinity start and all but two of those races have been at JDM. It\u2019s an amazing race team and family, and I can\u2019t wait to get this season going.\u201d said Garrett, who is eager to be back with the team.<\/p>\n

Smithley and the rest of the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller race team are preparing feverishly for Daytona, a track that saw the team out of Gaffney, South Carolina earn their first ever top five finish in last year\u2019s season opener. They believe that this season\u2019s racecar will be just as fast \u2013 if not faster \u2013 than the one brought to the track last year.<\/p>\n
The NASCAR Xfinity Series season kicks off on Saturday, February 16th, with the running of the NASCAR Racing Experience 300 at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
