\nChase Elliott, the son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Bill Elliott, will compete full-time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2014.<\/p>\n

Elliott, 18, will drive the No. 9 car for JR Motorsports.<\/p>\n

NAPA Auto Parts has abandoned it’s plan to leave NASCAR and instead will sponsor Elliott. It was just a few months ago that NAPA dumped Michael Waltrip Racing after one-year into a three year deal after MWR’s during a race at Richmond which initally allowed driver Martin Truex Jr. into the Chase.<\/p>\n

NASCAR eventually stepped in and removed Truex Jr. from the Chase and NAPA subsequently left MWR.<\/p>\n

The Atlanta-based company will return for its 19th season sponsoring the son of Dawsonville’s Bill Elliott.<\/p>\n
