\nThe Houston Astros have made starting pitcher Scott Feldman available ahead of Thursday’s 4 PM ET trade deadline.<\/p>\n

However given the 31-year-old’s contract and statistics this season a trade may not happen.<\/p>\n

Feldman landed a three-year deal from the Astros worth $30 million in the offseason. Since signing that deal he has produced just a 4.39 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 19 starts this season.<\/p>\n

Last season it was the Baltimore Orioles who took a gamble on Feldman acquiring him in a trade with the Chicago Cubs. Feldman had mixed results down the stretch for the Orioles.<\/p>\n

Teammate Dallas Keuchel has more trade value for the Astros but the team is not as open to trading the 26-year-old left hander. Keuchel is 10-7 with a 2.97 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP in 20 starts this season. He also leads the league with four complete games.<\/p>\n

Right now it is believed that Astors closer Chad Qualls is still not available in trade talks. Quallas has 11 saves this season and will make $3 million next season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
