They have ruined pro baseball in this region while generating millions of dollars in profit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>That led to Monfort responding with \u201cBy the way you talk maybe Denver doesn\u2019t deserve a franchise, maybe time for it to find a new home. Thanks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/denver.cbslocal.com\/2014\/07\/10\/rockies-owner-maybe-denver-doesnt-deserve-a-franchise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">CBS4<\/a> in Colorado has confirmed the comments with Monfort who said he remembered sending the comment to the fan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI sort of remember,\u201d said Monfort. \u201cI do remember that. I was rapid firing it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And while he talked tough, he is now playing the PR face game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t even have an idea what I meant to say,\u201d said Monfort. \u201cWhat I meant to say was maybe we, the owners, don\u2019t deserve a franchise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Rockies are 14 games under .500 on the season.
