Not quite the case, as the 34-year-old has signed a deal to play in Japan reports Nikkan Sports.<\/p>\n<p>A former All-Star, Youkilis will play for the Rakuten Golden Eagles in 2014 after appearing in just 28 games for the New York Yankees last season. Plagued with injuries Youkilis had just a .219\/.305\/.343 line with two homers.<\/p>\n<p>It has been a while since Youkilis was an everyday player.
