Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Brandon Morrow is likely done for the season. Morrow has a entrapped radial nerve in his forearm according to Canada’s Sportsnet.<\/p>\n

The Blue Jays and Morrow are hopeful that extended rest will allow the injury to heal but there is no timetable on a return and he could be out for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

When asked about Morrow Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos did not speak<\/a> optimistically.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s tough because it\u2019s been so long. It\u2019s hard to be at this point. I\u2019m just being honest. He just hasn\u2019t been able to get it going. He feels better. It\u2019s certainly improved from where he was but he just doesn\u2019t feel 100 per cent. I ask our trainers: \u2018It seems like we\u2019ve given him so much rest. Should he not be 100 per cent at this point?\u2019 It\u2019s tough to know how everyone\u2019s body recovers and so on. We\u2019ve taken MRIs multiple times and all we\u2019ve seen is inflammation. The flip side is, every doctor and trainer will tell you, you don\u2019t treat the MRI, you treat the player. That\u2019s the rule of thumb. So if Brandon isn\u2019t feeling right, he\u2019s got to pay attention to what his body\u2019s telling him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morrow has not pitched since May 28th and if he has thrown his final pitch he will finish the season with a 563 ERA and a 1.49 WHIP in 54 1\/3 innings of work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
