This obviously did not set well with his agent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the process, on behalf of Mike, I asked only that the Angels compensate Mike fairly for his historic 2012 season, given his service time,\u201d Landis, who represents Trout, said in an <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/blogs\/mlb-big-league-stew\/mike-trout-agent-speaks-angels-renew-contract-20k-012449993--mlb.html\" target=\"_blank\">email<\/a>. \u201cIn my opinion, this contract falls well short of a \u2018fair\u2019 contract, and I have voiced this to the Angels throughout the process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trout though took the high road and says the renewal of his contract slightly above the league minimum will not bother him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou could easily put yourself in a bad mood about it, but that\u2019s not me,\u201d Trout said. \u201cI like to play baseball. I\u2019m going to try to win a World Series for the team and not worry about off-the-field things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Angels have big money tied up in Albert Pujols, Josh Hamilton, Vernon Wells, and Jered Weaver, and C.J.
