Stan Musial&#8217;s resume was as impressive as anyone.<\/p>\n<p>A hall of fame player, Musial won seven National League batting titles, three MVP awards and was part of three World Series championships for the Cardinals during the 1940s.<\/p>\n<p>Musial passed away in his home. His son-in-law informed the Cardinals of his death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have lost the most beloved member of the Cardinals family,\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com\/news\/article.jsp?ymd=20130119&amp;content_id=41044572&amp;vkey=pr_stl&amp;c_id=stl&amp;partnerId=aw-6180120247212232772-1043\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> William DeWitt Jr., Chairman of the St. Louis Cardinals.\u00a0 \u201cStan Musial was the greatest player in Cardinals history and one of the best players in the history of baseball.\u201d \u201cThe entire Cardinals organization extends its sincere condolences to Stan\u2019s family, including his children Richard, Gerry, Janet and Jean, as well as his eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren,\u201d DeWitt said.\u00a0 \u201cWe join fans everywhere in mourning the loss of our dear friend and reflect on how fortunate we all are to have known \u2018Stan the Man\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Musial was the second hall of famer to pass away on Saturday.
