The Astros will be bringing back Martin Maldonado for the 2020 season after the team and catcher reached an agreement on a new two-year deal.
Maldonado, 33, appeared in 27 games for the Astros in 2019 and 41 games for them in 2018. He also saw time with the Royals and Cubs last season.

A career .219/.389.355 hitter, the Astros are looking at the stability and defense that Maldonado brings behind the plate in giving him a guaranteed $7 million.
