Alex Rodriguez is looking “thinner and massless than in previous years” as he returns to baseball after a year long suspension.
The Daily News also reports that Rodriguez also offered to meet face to face with the Yankees for his role in the Biogenesis scandal but the team declined his invitation. They will now deal with him when they report to Spring Training in Tampa next month.
While the Biogenesis scandal will dominate the talk of Rodriguez the more important on the field take away is the weight loss. Rodriguez is coming off a hip surgery and a year off. Now 40, the weight loss is going to be a plus if Rodriguez is going to offer the Yankees anything this season.
