They are two of the best pitchers left in free agency and Fernando Rodney and Joaquin Benoit want to be paid that way.

Both Rodney and Benoit could find themselves at the back end of a bullpen this season and both want to be paid a multi-year deal near $10 million a season.

The latest report on Rodney is that he’s seeking a two to three year deal at $10 million, which was recently conformed by CBS’ Jon Heyman on twitter.

Rodney regressed a bit last year finishing with a 3.38 ERA and 37 saves while averaging a career-high 11.1 K/9.

Meanwhile Joaquin Benoit is hoping to turn his stint as the Detroit Tigers closer into a multi year deal worth $7-10 million.

Benoit saved a career-high 24 games with the Tigers finishing with a 2.01 ERA and 73/22 K/BB ratio over 67 innings. Multiple teams have been linked to Benoit including the Yankees, Mariners, Cubs and Indians.
