It\u2019s kind of the state of where we\u2019ve always been. We don\u2019t get respect for being the golfers that we are. Obviously, Golf Digest is trying to sell magazines. But at the same time you\u2019d like to see a little respect for the women\u2019s game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1727 alignright\" style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\" alt=\"paulinagretzky3\" src=\"http:\/\/tireball.com\/backpage\/files\/2014\/04\/paulinagretzky3.jpg\" width=\"216\" height=\"269\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tireball.com\/backpage\/files\/2014\/04\/paulinagretzky3.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/tireball.com\/backpage\/files\/2014\/04\/paulinagretzky3-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/tireball.com\/backpage\/files\/2014\/04\/paulinagretzky3-820x1024.jpg 820w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 216px) 100vw, 216px\" \/><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Juli Inkster a World Golf Hall of Famer added:<\/p>\n<blockquote id=\"yui_3_14_0_1_1396629602725_2046\">\n<p id=\"yui_3_14_0_1_1396629602725_2045\">\u201cIt\u2019s frustrating because it\u2019s Golf Digest; it\u2019s not Sports Illustrated\u2019s swimsuit issue,\u201d Inkster said, adding: \u201cI think they should maybe recognize some of the great women golfers that we have. It\u2019s like, What do you have to do to get a little respect? I\u2019m guaranteeing you right now, it was not a woman editor who chose that cover.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Some will argue that the attention of Paulina on the cover could draw interest to LPGA coverage inside the magazine but I dunno how many of those people would get past the photos of Gretzky.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NHL Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky&#8217;s daughter has made the front of a magazine for a sport in which she does not play.
