Once Narvarez is officially placed on the disabled list the Mets are expected to recall highly touted prospect Francisco Alvarez from the minors.
Alvarez is the Mets top prosect and is ranked as the number two prospect in baseball according to MLB Pipeline.
While Alvarez did get some playing time at the end of last season, hitting his first home run and appearing in a playoff game, this time he will be hoping to stay around for a while.
The Mets would then pair Alvarez with Tomas Nido.
