Persistent rain and lightning at EchoPark Speedway have washed out NASCAR Cup Series qualifying. Per the rule book, Daytona 500 champ Tyler Reddick will lead the field to green for Sunday’s Autotrader 400. He’ll be joined on the front row by two-time track winner Joey Logano.
While the Cup cars stayed in the garage, track drying is underway to get the Truck and Xfinity Series races in later today. This marks the first time since 2008 that weather has completely scrapped a Cup qualifying session at this venue.
