Kyle Kirkwood was the fastest in IndyCar’s opening practice on the streets of Toronto turning a best lap of 1:01.205.
Practice consisted of full field run followed by groups.
Scott McLaughlin, Alex Palou , Marcus Armstrong and Will Power followed him on the speed chart.
The series will practice again Saturday morning before qualifying in the afternoon. Sunday’s race will air on FOX beginning at 12:00 pm ET.
