On lap 66 of the race, a large number of cars were involved in what can only be described as an according effect crash at the newly named Echo Park Speedway. In total 23 cars were involved.

Among those involved were pole sitter Joey Logano, stage 1 winner Austin Cindric, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, and Noah Gragson.

The crash took place on a restart as cars at the front of the field attempted to check up leaving no where for those behind them to go. This resulted in a large number of drivers taking on damage, while many drivers were able to continue, some would go to the garage, others would have their race ended.
