Ben Maier making Truck Debut at Lime Rock Park

Sixteen-year-old Ben Maier is set to make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut this weekend at Lime Rock Park, one of the most technically challenging road courses in the country. He’ll be driving the No. 02 Executive Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, marking a major milestone in his young career.

Maier has been turning heads in the racing world for years, competing in series like Stadium Super Trucks with Robby Gordon, Trans Am, the Cars Tour, and NitroCross with Travis Pastrana. Now, he’s stepping up to the national stage in the Truck Series.

“This opportunity means everything to me,” Maier said. “Coming from a family with limited resources, getting to this level isn’t something that usually happens. I’m really grateful to Tyler Young and the team for believing in me, and to Executive Chevrolet for helping make it a reality. I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got.”

Backed by Executive Chevrolet, Maier’s entry into the series reflects both his promise and the support of partners who believe in young talent. Executive Chevrolet’s General Manager, Shaun Woodward, said Maier’s work ethic and energy align with the brand’s values—and they’re proud to be a part of his journey.

Maier will also have support from Cool Boxx, whose driver cooling system will help keep him comfortable during the intense race. In addition, the Skip Barber Racing School will be featured on the truck—fitting, given Lime Rock Park is a favorite track for the school, which has trained over 400,000 students across its programs.

Tyler Young, team principal at Young’s Motorsports, sees a bright future for Maier. “Ben’s shown real skill and determination. We’re excited to have him represent us at Lime Rock Park and are thankful to the sponsors who helped make this happen.”

The LiUNA! 150 at Lime Rock Park is the 15th race on the 2025 NASCAR Truck Series calendar. Practice kicks off Friday, June 27, with qualifying set for Saturday morning. The race gets underway just after 1 p.m. ET, with coverage on FOX, the NASCAR Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
