Justin Allgaier won his 28th career Xfinity Series race on Saturday night going to victory lane in the Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville Superspeedway.
William Sawalich began on the pole and would lead until a caution came out when Kyle Sieg made contact with Parker Retzlaff. Daniel Dye would lead the race back to green as he and other stayed out on older tires. On fresher tires, Allgaier would move past Jeremy Clements to win the stage as Corey Day spun.
A caution after Blaine Perkins spun down the front stretch following contact with Thomas Annuziata would follow shortly after the start to stage two. Allgaier would win the second stage but lose the lead to Sheldon Creed on pit road.
Multiple cars would be involved in an incident to start the final stage bringing out the fifth caution. On lap 120 Zilisch would move to the lead past Creed with Allgaier moving into second. Sawalich would spin while battling for 11th with Sammy Smith bringing out the yellow
Allgaier would hold off Zilisch’s push on the restart and finish the race with 101 laps led. With the fastest lap and the sweep of stages, Allgaier scored the maximum number of points for the race. The win is the third of the season for Allgaier.
