Lochie Hughes took advantage of an early mistake by Dennis Hauger to win from the pole in Friday’s Indy NXT event.
Hughes was joined by Caio Collet and James Rowe on the podium with Callum Hedge and Salvador de Alba rounding out the top-five.
With seven laps to go James Rowe lost control of his car before making contact with Nikita Johnson. It would not have any impact on Hughes. In claiming his first win in the series, Hughes led all 35 laps from the pole.
The series will be in action again Saturday prior to the NTT IndyCar Series race.
