Alex Bowman’s time of 14.912 placed his No. 48 Chevrolet on the pole for Sunday’s running of the Food City 500.
NASCAR’s first trip to the half-mile track takes place with a day race on Sunday. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. earned the second starting position followed by Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin and Ryan Blaney.
