Haas Factory Team Unveils Key Personnel Changes for 2025 NASCAR Season

Haas Factory Team (HFT) has announced a significant reshuffling of its organizational structure for the 2025 NASCAR season, introducing new faces and roles across its NASCAR Xfinity and NASCAR Cup Series programs. The changes aim to strengthen the team’s competitive edge as it prepares for a pivotal year on the track.

Jason Trinchere Joins as Crew Chief for Sam Mayer

Veteran crew chief Jason Trinchere will take the helm of the No. 41 Xfinity program, guiding Sam Mayer through the 2025 season. Trinchere brings extensive experience from both the Truck and Xfinity Series, most recently leading Chase Purdy and the No. 77 team at Spire Motorsports in the Truck Series. Prior to that, he spent four seasons with Kaulig Racing, amassing five wins with AJ Allmendinger. Trinchere’s impressive career also includes stints with Landon Cassill and Daniel Hemric, and the Daytona season-opener will mark his 100th Xfinity Series start as a crew chief.

Jonathon Toney Stays with the No. 00 Team, Now Paired with Sheldon Creed

Jonathon Toney, who has been instrumental in the success of Cole Custer and the No. 00 team, remains as crew chief but will now partner with Sheldon Creed, a new addition to HFT. Toney’s track record includes leading Custer to the 2023 Xfinity Series Championship and achieving five victories and 42 top-10 finishes in under 75 races. Toney’s deep roots with HFT date back over two decades, having joined the organization when it was known as HaasCNC Racing.

New Competition Directors Take Charge

HFT has appointed two new competition directors to oversee operations in 2025:

  • Nick Sandler: Sandler will lead the Cup Series program, bringing a wealth of experience from Roush Fenway Keselowski (RFK) Racing. A former Cup Series crew chief for Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Sandler has been an integral part of RFK since 2006, advancing through roles in engineering and leadership.
  • Adam Gravitt: Gravitt will oversee competition for the Xfinity program. A long-time member of the Haas organization, Gravitt has held various engineering roles since joining in 2004. His recent achievements include managing engineering efforts for the Xfinity program over the past two seasons.

Strengthening the Team’s Engineering Core

Sandler’s arrival reunites him with Aaron Kramer, another RFK alum, who has been tapped to lead Cole Custer’s Cup Series team in 2025. This reunion brings added synergy to the Cup program as HFT looks to elevate its performance. Gravitt’s promotion reflects his deep understanding of the team’s culture and engineering processes, ensuring continuity and innovation in the Xfinity program.

Looking Ahead to 2025

Haas Factory Team’s revamped lineup reflects a commitment to growth and excellence as it enters the 2025 season. With seasoned leaders like Trinchere, Toney, Sandler, and Gravitt steering the ship, the organization is poised for success across both the Xfinity and Cup Series. Fans can look forward to seeing the No. 41 and No. 00 teams, along with the Cup Series entries, make waves as the season unfolds.

Stay tuned as HFT gears up for Daytona and embarks on what promises to be a transformative year in NASCAR.
