Fresh off as being announced as the driver of the Haas Factory Team outfit for next season in the Cup Series, Cole Custer placed his No. 00 Ford Mustang on the pole for Saturday’s Pennzoil 250.
Custer’s speed of 167.582 bested his Xfinity Series teammate Riley Herbst as the front row was made up of a pair of Fords.
A returning Aric Almirola will start third followed by Sam Mayer and Anthony Alfredo.
