Garrett Smithley will get behind the wheel of the No. 45 Chevrolet Camaro this weekend for the Pennzoil 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Smithley’s entry for Alpha Prime Racing in the No. 45 machine comes as the team has acquired the owner points for JD Motorsports which belonged to the No. 4 car.

This allows Alpha Prime Racing to move up to 36th in points from 42nd.
This season Smithley has made 15 starts in the Xfinity Series, all which ironically came for JD Motorsports. In his career he has a best finish of 14th at IMS.
