George Russell was rewarded for being at the right place at the right time in Sunday’s F1 race at the Red Bull Ring.
In the closing laps Max Verstappen was trying to fend off Landon Norris when the two drivers came together resulting in a puncture to Verstappen’s left rear tire and substantial damage to Norris’ machine.

The result was Russell moving to the top of the podium. Joining Russell was Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz. Verstappen finished fifth even with the additional pit stop and a 10 second penalty while Norris retired from the race scoring no championship points.
