The annual Memorial Day weekend NASCAR Cup Series race will see Ty Gibbs at the front of the field when the green flag waves.
Gibbs will be joined by William Byron on the front row for the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Kyle Larson, who is attempting to run the Indianapolis 500 along with the Coca-Cola 600, qualified 10th. With rain expected to be a concern at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday it is possible that Larson runs the Coca-Cola 600 before the Indianapolis 500 even starts.
This is the first career pole for GIbbs. On Friday, Gibbs won the pole for Saturday’s Xfinity Series but saw Chase Elliott claim the win in that race as several NASCAR Cup Series regulars ran the race.
