Timmy Hill driving Spirit of Route 66 car for All-Star Open

As excitement builds for the return of the NASCAR All-Star Race and All-Star Open to North Wilkesboro Speedway, the AAA Route 66 Road Fest proudly announces its support for Port Tobacco, MD driver Timmy Hill as he competes in the NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Open on Sunday, May 19 in car number 66.

“North Wilkesboro is a historic track on the NASCAR schedule and one where anything can happen at any moment,” said Hill. “I am proud to team up with AAA to promote the Route 66 Road Fest in Tulsa June 22-23 celebrating another historic, American icon; Route 66.”

Motorsports Business Management (MBM Motorsports) team owner Carl Long echoed those statements.

“We are excited to have Timmy back behind the wheel this weekend,” said Long. “We were equally excited when the opportunity presented itself to team up with AAA to help promote the Route 66 Road Fest and leverage our 66 race car to create momentum for the highly anticipated Route 66 Centennial in 2026.”

Representing the spirit of adventure and the legacy of Route 66, Hill will be driving the No. 66 AAA Route 66 Road Fest Ford Mustang Dark Horse. This will be the driver’s first start in the Cup Series at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

“For nearly a century, Route 66 has served as a symbol of the open road, exploration and discovery,” said Scott Lugar, Chief Marketing Officer for AAA. “We appreciate this partnership with MBM Motorsports and Timmy Hill to help us commemorate and celebrate Route 66 through the Road Fest event in Tulsa and reinforce our commitment to promoting safe and enjoyable travel experiences.”
