Heat Race No. 1 Results
The first heat race began with Felix Rosenqvist on the pole with a caution coming before the first lap could be completed ending with Romain Grosejan out of the race and Scott Dixon penalized for avoidable contact. Will Power would have to go wide during the incident and found himself trying to make up ground as the race turned to a timed event. In the end Rosenqvust finished ahead of Scott McLaughling, Josef Newgarden, Christian Lundguaard, Augstin Canapino, and Colton Herta.
