Daniel Suarez won Sunday’s Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta began with Michael McDowell on the pole. Joey Logano, who was scheduled to start on the front tow, would have to take a pass though penalty due to an illegal glove during qualifying. Kyle Busch would quickly jump out to the lead before the first caution.
On the second lap of the race when Martin Truex Jr. made contact and spun Austin Dillon, collecting Chase Elliott, Noah Gragson, Josh Williams, Christopher Bell, Harrison Burton, Bubba Wallace, Daniel Hemric, Ryan Preece, John Hunter Nemechek, Erik Jones, Tyler Reddick, Alex Bowman, Ty Gibbs, Carson Hocevar, BJ McLeod, and Daniel Suarez.
Chris Buescher would bring out the second caution when he spun on lap 26. McDowell would win the first stage of the race. Buescher would get into the wall on lap 160 bringing out another caution and ending the second stage with Austin Cindric out front.
Busch would make contact with Kaz Grala on lap 176 bringing out a caution while Ross Chastain would get into Chase Elliott on lap 200. On lap 220 the cars of Kyle Larson, Brad Keselowski, and Corey LaJoie would get together.
Multiple cautions would follow including a red flag. The final five laps of the race would go green with Suarez, Blaney, and Busch three wide at the finish line.
