Joe Burrow out for season with wrist injury

Joe Burrow, quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals, is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a torn ligament in his wrist.

The Bengals made the announcement on X on Friday afternoon.

Burrow said he felt a “pop” after landing on his wrist during a play in Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. Later he reached down for his right wrist after throwing a touchdown pass to Joe Mixon.

After suffering the injury Burrow attempted to take warmup passes on the sidelines but could not grip the ball and was later taken to the locker room and ruled out for the second half.

The Bengals were forced to turn to Jake Browning in his absence.
