Ben Rhodes won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship after four overtimes at Phoenix Raceway as Christian Eckes crossed the finish line scoring his fourth win of the season.

claiming the series championship in the process.

Corey Heim began the Craftsman 150 on the pole but it was Ty Majeski who would grab the lead for the first lap of the race. Derek Kraus would get into Stewart Friesen to bring out the first caution flag on lap 5. Majeski would win the first stage with Heim being the highest finisher among playoff drivers, though no points were awarded following stages in this event.

During the second stage a caution would come out following contact between Marco Andretti and Chris Hacker. Following an incident involving Tyler Hill, several trips would pit under yellow on lap 79 including Hocevar. Heim would win the second stage but it would be Hocevar who would cycle to be the highest running championship driver.

Heim would get around Hocevar but with 30 laps to go Hocevar would hit him twice spinning Heim out. On the ensuing restart Hocevar would get turned sideways after contact with Majeski, falling back to the lowest running of the championship eligible drivers. Heim would climb to 12th before Bayley Currey turned Steffan Parsons. Rhodes in third and Enfinger in fourth would eye the championship when the race saw a red flag with 20 laps to go.

With three laps to go Heim would get revenge on Hocevar who had worked his way back up though the field on fresh tires. Taylor Gray would be collected in the incident.

The championship focus would shift to Enfinger and Rhodes who began third and fourth on the restart.

Rhodes would get around Enfinger on the restart but a caution fell before the white flag as the truck truck of Derek Kraus went around into the wall. Enfinger would pit for tires and fuel prior to the restart as the crew tried to pull out his fenders from damage which occurred while racing with Rhodes prior to the caution.

Rhodes would hit Smith who appeared hit miss a shift on the restart damaging the No. 99 truck and setting up yet another green-white-checkered. Majeski would get turned on the restart and the race would go yellow yet again.

On the final restart Enfinger would put on a drive but finished the race sixth, one spot behind Rhodes who claims his second truck series championship/
