Matt DiBenedetto replaced for final three truck races at Rackley

It had been known for weeks that Matt DiBenedetto would not return to Rackley W.A.R. for the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season. On Tuesday the team announced that DiBenedetto will not finish the season with the team as it will replace him for the final three races of the season.

The team will name a driver for races at Talladega Superspeedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway and Phoenix Raceway soon.

DiBenedetto expressed disappointment in a social media post.

DiBenedetto announced in August that he was exploring options across all three of NASCAR’s top series. The driver joined Rackley W.A.R. for the 2022 season after losing his Cup Series ride at Wood Brothers Racing to Harrison Burton.

This season DiBenedetto made the truck series playoffs but was eliminated after the first round.
