NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Preece was sent for a wild ride near the end of Saturday’s running of the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway.

Following the flip safety team members quickly went to his No. 41 Ford Mustang. Preece was able to climb out of the car and was subsequently placed on a stretcher.

Entering the night Preece was one of a handful of drivers who were hoping to win their way into NASCAR’s playoffs.
