Jesse Love won Friday afternoon’s ARCA Menards Series race at Watkins Glen. The event began with Corey LaJoie on the pole but with an issue with his No. 63 machine would end his day.
Most of the race was run with dry track conditions with Connor Zilisch out front. Near the end of the race rain began to fall on the track with drivers being given the option to change to wet tires during a full course caution for Jack Wood who spun.
Kris Wright, Stanton Barrett opted to stay out as those who pitted changed to wet tires while not losing any additional positions as their spots were frozen on pit entry.
On the restart Zilisch got around Wright as several cars went off in turn one. Jesse Love would move up to second setting his sights on Zilisch pushing him wide in the final turn to claim his eight win of the season.
