Christian Rasmussen won the Indy NXT race at Nashville on Music City Grand Prix weekend.
The starting lineup was set via entrant points giving Christian Rasmuseen the pole at the 2.1-mile course for the 35 lap race. Coming across the Korean War Memorial Bridge the first time the start was waived off, though the first lap would count.
Hunter McElrea, Jacob Abel and Louis Foster would all work their way around Nolan Siegel on lap three as the driver who began the day 22 points out in the championship fell to fifth.
After spending the first half of the race working though the field, Matthew Brabham would miss a corner at the midway point and lose multiple positions. Shortly after Christian Bogle would miss a turn and damage his wing forcing a pitstop. The race would go yellow but returned to green with 15 laps left. With 11 laps to go Ernie Francis would crash into turn four bringing out a full course caution. With seven laps to go Danial Frost would crash int he same spot.
