Noah Gragson suspended by NASCAR for social media activity

NASCAR Cup Series driver Noah Gragson has been suspended indefinitely by NASCAR and Legacy Motor Club due to activity on social media.

Gragson was discovered to have liked a meme making fun of the death of George Floyd that circulated on social media earlier this year.

“I am disappointed in myself for my lack of attention and actions on social media,” Gragson posted Saturday. “I understand the severity of this situation. I love and appreciate everyone. I try to treat everyone equally no matter who they are. I messed up plain and simple.”

Josh Berry will replace Gragson in the No. 42 car. Berry is signed for the 2024 season with Stewart-Haas Racing replacing the retiring Kevin Harvick while Legacy Motor Club is switching from Chevrolet to Toyota’s next season.

There had already been questions as to whether or not Gragson will remain with the team at the end which this surely will not help.
