Conor Daly will get a chance to drive the No. 60 car of Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) as Simon Pagenaud remains sidelined following a crash at Mid-Ohio.
Daly was removed as the driver of the No. 20 of Ed Carpenter Racing following the Grand Prix of Detroit, sitting out the following week. MSR would call upon Daly to fill in for Pagenaud at Mid-Ohio. Starting last due to not qualifying, Daly finished 20th in the race.
MSR opted to have Tom Blomqvist drive the No. 60 machine during the Grand Prix of Toronto this past weekend. Blomqvist is considered one of the favorites to land a seat at MSR in the offseason, however his race in Toronto would not make it past the first lap as he was caught up in a large opening lap crash.
Thinking about @simonpagenaud first off. I will do my best to score points for this incredible team at one of my favorite tracks this weekend. Can’t wait to work with the @MeyerShankRac group again. 2 full races, 2 opportunities to succeed together. @iowaspeedway #60 pic.twitter.com/DBSL5Et58X

With Blomqvist ruled out as an option for the oval race at Iowa, MSR is going with the available option who has most experience over the past few seasons in Daly.

Pagenaud shared on social media that he has not been cleared to return to the track.
