Tyler Ankrum scored the win in Friday’s Zinsser Smartcoat 150 at Mid-Ohio on Friday.
Sean Hingorani began the Zinsser Smartcoast 150 on the pole. Love was unable to complete a qualifying lap due to electrical issues. Those issues continued during the pacing laps but once the race went green Love quickly cut though the field moving into the top-10 on the first lap.
On lap 2 of the race Dean Thompson, a teammate to Love, would slow on the track losing multiple positions before getting back up to speed. By the third lap of the race Love passed Frankie Muniz after contact, his closet competition in the point standings. Ankrum would get around Hingorani for the lead.
Dale Quarterley would go around on lap 19 while battleing William Sawalich and Andres Perez de Lara for fourth.
On lap 23 the caution came out for the break with Ankrum as the leader with Hingorani, Love, Sawalich and Perez de Lara rounding out the top-five. During the break Love would report a fuel pressure issue.
Ankrum would go off the track on the restart and Love would move to the lead.

Dean Thompson would get around Love as the No. 20 car dealt with the pressure issues. Hingorani would make a move on Thompson who gave the No. 15 car just enough room to run himself off the track.

On the final lap Thompson and Higorani would get together again with both cars going off the track and into the sand trap. They were working as teammates in the race.
