The NASCAR Xfinity Series cars took to the Chicago Street Course but were unable to complete The Loop 121 due to weather.
Lightning resulted in a red flag before the race reached the halfway point. Only 25 of the 55 scheduled laps were completed.
Cole Custer was leading the race at the time of the red flag.
NASCAR has announced that the race will resume Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET (10:00 am local) on USA Network.
Fans may enter the track one hour prior to the race starting.
