Noah Gragson returning to the track at Nashville

“He’s back” announced Legacy Motor Club on Wednesday. Noah Gragson has been cleared to return to the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro beginning with this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway.

Following a crash at World Wide Technology Raceway, Gragson missed the last Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway with concussion like symptoms.

NASCAR has granted Gragson a waiver for the playoffs. Currently Gragson has 143 points and is 382 points out of a playoff spot. His only chance to make the playoffs requires a trip to victory lane.

Gragson won the fan vote to enter the All-Star race at North Wilkesboro, however the rest of his first full season in the Cup Series has not gone the way that Legacy Motor Club or Gragson would have hoped. Following the crash at WWT Raceway, Gragson expressed disappointment with a season line that has no finishes inside the top-ten and an average finish of 28.5. The No. 42 car has finished on the lead lap just twice this season.
