Layne Riggs has been tasked with driving the No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado RST for the 13th race of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.
The son of former NASCAR veteran Scott Riggs, Layne recently became the youngest NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series champion in series history. Now he will get behind the wheel of No. 02 truck for his fifth career start in the series.
Riggs made three starts in the No. 62 truck last season for Halmar Friesen Racing last season scoring a best finish of seventh at Indianapolis Raceway Park in his first start. Earlier this season he drove the No. 01 truck of Tricon Garage to a 28th place finish at Atlanta.
