Tim Viens to drive another Trump truck at Talladega

Tim Viens says he will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Posting to social media, Viens announced that he would be racing at Talladega Superspeedway showing off a scheme of the No. 47 truck that features a Trump Winery livery.

Viens has competed in one race this season finishing 36th at Kansas Speedway after running just two laps and retiring with a transmission issue. Across 15 starts in the truck series, Viens has been running at just the finish just six times.

If the Trump name appearing on a Viens truck is familiar it’s because back in 2020 Viens ran a Trump 2020 scheme in nine events. Viens finished four of those races having a best finish of 24th at the Daytona Road Course.

Viens once complained about politics in sports and NASCAR has since banned political sponsors hence why the Trump Winery name appears on the truck opposed to any political campaign.

The Glory 2 God Racing team (G2G) is owned by Viens and Bill Shea. They operate the No. 46 and No. 47 trucks. This season the following drivers have driven for the team; Brennan Poole, Akinori Ogata, Dale Quarterly, Armani Williams, Memphis Villarreal, Brennan Poole, Dawson Cram and Viens.
