Alex Bowman to drive pride car for sponsor Ally at Sonoma

Alex Bowman’s No. 48 car at Sonoma Raceway will celebrate Pride Month for sponsor. Sponsor Ally is ditching it’s purple “a” logo for one that celebrates Pride Month.

Bowman enters Sonoma 17th in the overall driver standings despite missing time for an injury and a 60 point penalty for a modification to the center section of the car during a teardown at NASCAR’s research and development center.

On the season Bowman has three top-five and six top-10 finishes though the 12 events he has been on track. The 30-year-old Bowman has seven career wins in the Cup Series and has won a race in each of the previous four seasons.

Bowman has run seven races at Sonoma thus far in his career including four with Hendrick Motorsports split between the No. 88 and 48 cars. His best finish at Sonoma is a ninth place finish which was achieved twice (2018, 2021).
