Falcons expect Kyle Pitts to be ready for season

Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts has not practice since MCL surgery in November but the team and head coach Arthur Smith are expecting him to be ready when the season starts.

The Falcons are playing it safe with Pitts it appears.

Last season Pitts was an important part of the Falcons offense catching 68 passes ofr 1,026 yards and a touchdown.

“We’re trying to be smart. We know we’re planning to play 20, 21 games,” Smith said Friday. “So when you do that, you need to be ready to go, peaking, ready to roll Sept. 10 and play our best football at the end of the year.

“So that goes into mind.”

Pitts has not been spotted at either of the Falcons voluntary OTAs thus far.
